I'm running in place going nowhere

There is nowhere to go.
Down,
Down,
That's where I will end up.
Maybe if I run fast enough,
I will stop the time
And stay in this now
Forever.
Alone, but not alone.
So much harder.
The ghost of the past
Running along side of me.
Remembering is gone.
Now is gone.
The future is gone.
What is left?

There may be no place to go. But you are here and here is a nice place to be now. Just the here and now, no need for running, only living.
